In line with the ongoing productive talks in Switzerland, Iran has committed to free and open transit in the Strait of Hormuz and to permit International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors into their country. As part of the framework, Treasury has issued a temporary 60-day general license authorizing the production, delivery, and sale of Iranian oil.

Colombia is the latest example of voters across Latin America rejecting failed leftist policies, instead choosing to support pro-market, pro-growth defenders of economic prosperity and freedoms. Brighter days for Colombians are ahead, and a thriving Colombia benefits the United States, the Western Hemisphere, and the entire world.

Today, Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned Hizballah-aligned Lebanese officials, as well as members and interlocutors of a Hizballah-associated business network. The Lebanese officials designated today have used their influence to obstruct Lebanon’s peace process and delay the disarmament of Hizballah.

President @realDonaldTrump continues to make the world safer, today reaching a historic peace deal with Iran. His leadership, along with his direct engagement with allies and adversaries alike, will be recorded in history books for centuries to come.

Across the country, community bankers serve as the first line of defense in our financial infrastructure. In Houston, I spoke with more than a dozen bankers about how financial institutions must remain vigilant against illicit financial activity associated with the unlawful employment of illegal aliens. Texas community banks see firsthand the challenges and pressures that illegal immigration places on local communities and the financial system, making them key partners in identifying risks and protecting the integrity of our banking sector. The Trump Administration will always fight to protect our borders, defend American workers, and preserve the integrity of our financial institutions.

Today, as part of Economic Fury, Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned nine individuals and entities that have supported weapons procurement on behalf of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics. Treasury continues to aggressively target the overseas procurement and financial networks that sustain Iran’s weapons production and proliferation capabilities.
