Marti is a battle-tested communications expert and strategist with 15 years of experience managing complex, high-stakes situations in the toughest media, political, business and regulatory environments. She returned to Treasury on day one of the Biden-Harris Administration from the global advisory firm Brunswick Group where she counseled clients on matters spanning the full spectrum of corporate reputation. Prior to Brunswick, Marti spent three years at New York City Hall where she was First Deputy Press Secretary, and later Deputy Communications Director to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. Before that, she spent six years serving in various press and communications roles for President Obama in his administration and on both of his presidential campaigns. Marti first joined the Department in the Office of Public Affairs on day one of the Obama Administration, serving as the spokesperson for the Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence from 2009 – 2011. A native of McLean, Virginia, Marti is a proud graduate of Spelman College.
