Champion the appropriate use, sharing, education, and management of Treasury data, enabling informed insights that benefit the public good.

Strategic Objectives

  1. Improve data sharing and analysis across Treasury and other Federal agencies through planning for a Treasury data catalog, identification, discovery, and publishing Treasury data assets;

  2. Improve access and use of high-quality data and metadata to inform decision-making through implementation of a Treasury-wide metadata management tool, and increase the capacity to conduct and deliver data analytics;

  3. Build and improve data governance, data management, data maturity mapping, and metadata management best practices through implementation of the Evidence Act and a corporate data infrastructure program;

  4. Enhance data literacy and foster a data culture through the establishment of a data literacy program, training, and identification of data centric career opportunities;

  5. Support the Treasury organizational health assessment and business intelligence tool development;

  6. Support Treasury Department, administration, and Congressional data calls and analytic work product requests in support of the Treasury Department mission.
