Secretary Geithner To Deliver Remarks on The State of The Economy Before The Economic Club of New York

WASHINGTON – At 7:00 PM EDT on Thursday, March 15, 2012, Secretary Geithner will address the Economic Club of New York at the Grand Hyatt in New York City. In his remarks, the Secretary will take stock of the U.S. economy since President Obama took office – from the legacy of the crisis and other challenges we have faced to recent signs of a strengthening recovery. The Secretary will also outline the primary economic imperatives facing the country and review the Administration’s strategy to support economic growth, put in place the right investments and reforms for our future, and restore fiscal sustainability. Following his remarks, Secretary Geithner will participate in a discussion with Alan Blinder of Princeton University and John Lipsky of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
