WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Treasury today announced that Secretary Jacob J. Lew will travel to Anchorage, Alaska and Sendai, Japan next week.
On May 18 in Anchorage, Secretary Lew will join state and local officials for meetings with business and community leaders about Treasury’s financial inclusion initiatives and other measures to grow the economy.
The Secretary will then travel to Sendai, Japan for a meeting of the G-7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors May 19-21. Secretary Lew will meet with his international counterparts to discuss measures to promote global stability and growth.
