BARI, ITALY – Earlier today, U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin met with Minister of Economy and Finance Pier Carlo Padoan of Italy. Secretary Mnuchin and Minister Padoan reviewed recent economic developments in the Italian, European and global economies. The Secretary congratulated Minister Padoan on Italy's successful presidency of the G-7. Secretary Mnuchin underscored the importance of working together to address the threats posed by North Korea and Iran. They also affirmed the importance of jointly working to combat threats to the global economy posed by cybersecurity concerns and the financing of illicit activities.
