Secretary John Snow visited New York City on Thursday, April 22 to participate in National Teach Children to Save Day. The Secretary taught fifth-grade class in East Harlem about the importance of saving for the future and how budgeting can help people achieve their goals. A number of other Treasury officials taught similar classes in schools across the country. While in New York, Snow also addressed the Bond Market Association’s Annual Meeting.
