Treasury Secretary John Snow hosted the Social Security and Medicare Board of Trustees meeting Monday afternoon to complete their annual financial review of the programs and to transmit the Trustees' Reports to Congress. Secretary Snow is the managing trustee. He was joined at a press briefing following the meeting by Secretary of Labor and Trustee Elaine L. Chao, Secretary of Health and Human Services and Trustee Michael Leavitt, Commissioner of Social Security and Trustee Jo Anne Barnhart, Public Trustee John Palmer and Public Trustee Thomas Saving.
