Treasury today released a request for public input as it prepares a blueprint for an improved U.S. financial regulatory structure. Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions David Nason discussed Secretary Paulson's plans to review and recommend improvements to the regulatory structure, which the Secretary first announced in June as part of his initiative to strengthen U.S. capital markets competitiveness.
