Secretary Paulson visits Accra, Ghana today where he met with President John Kufuor and co-hosted with Ghanaian Finance Minister Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu a meeting with private-sector financial leaders on financial sector development in West Africa. Paulson also toured the Ghana Stock Exchange and held a press conference announcing OPIC investment in Africa. He will also discuss infrastructure investment while touring Akosombo Dam. Paulson also visited Arusha, Tanzania and Cape Town, South Africa. He met last week with students at the Lake Manyara Primary school near Arusha.
