Washington--The Treasury Department today announced that it distributed 323,000 additional stimulus payments in December, totaling $213 million. As of the end of 2008, a total of 119.242 million payments have been distributed totaling $96.343 billion since disbursements started April 28.
The Treasury Department today announced that it distributed 323,000 additional stimulus payments in December, totaling $213 million. As of the end of 2008, a total of 119.242 million payments have been distributed totaling $96.343 billion since disbursements started April 28.Individuals who did not qualify for a stimulus payment in 2008, but may be eligible for a recovery rebate credit in 2009, should claim the credit on their tax returns this year.
