Washington, DC--The United States and Malta announced today that they plan to begin negotiation of a bilateral income tax treaty. The first round of negotiations are expected to take place March 24 to 26 in Valletta, Malta.
The Treasury Department invites written comments from the public regarding the upcoming negotiations. Comments should be sent to Michael Mundaca, Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Tax Affairs, Room 3024 MainTreasuryBuilding, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC20220.
