WASHINGTON – Today, Secretary of the Treasury Scott K.H. Bessent met with Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Dr. Jafar Hassan of Jordan. During their meeting, Secretary Bessent was pleased to reaffirm the long-standing economic and security ties between Jordan and the United States. The Secretary thanked the Prime Minister for his leadership on critical economic issues within the Government of Jordan and expressed the United States’ firm support for Jordan’s continued economic reforms.
