WASHINGTON – Last week, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent met with Chancellor to the Exchequer Rachel Reeves of the United Kingdom to underscore the Administration’s expectation that Europe lead the increased pressure on Russia through coordinated G7 efforts. The Secretary also highlighted the need for a unified response towards China’s global rare earth export controls, and the importance of diversified supply chains.

Secretary Bessent and Chancellor Reeves also highlighted the success of President Trump’s state visit to the UK.
