DES MOINES – U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent visited the Great State of Iowa to highlight how President Trump’s pro-growth economic agenda and the Working Families Tax Cuts are delivering for American manufacturers, farmers, small businesses, and working families.
SUPPORTING A MAUFACTURING RENAISSANCE
Secretary Bessent joined Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks for a tour of Vermeer Corporation’s facility headquartered in Pella and a roundtable with agriculture and manufacturing leaders. The discussion focused on how this Administration’s pro-growth economic policies translating into investment, job creation, and reducing regulatory burdens on American businesses.

Secretary Bessent also joined House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, and Congressman Zach Nunn for a discussion with Iowa bankers on the Working Families Tax Cuts, Trump Accounts, and efforts to reduce regulatory burdens, including permanently ending the beneficial ownership reporting requirements for millions of small businesses.
