“Ambassador Lighthizer’s announcement today regarding proposed tariffs on Chinese goods further supports our commitment to achieving free, fair, and reciprocal trade and to defend U.S. innovation from unfair practices. This is another example of President Trump’s commitment to American companies and workers to enable them to compete fairly around the world. We will continue to engage in discussions with China to address these issues of reciprocal trade.”
