WASHINGTON – Yesterday, U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin met with Mexico’s Secretary of Finance and Public Credit Jose Antonio Gonzalez Anaya. Secretary Mnuchin and Secretary Gonzalez discussed the importance of the two nations cooperating on countering illicit financial activity in the region. They also discussed a free, fair and reciprocal trading relationship between the two nations including the renegotiation of NAFTA. The Secretary thanked the Minister for Mexico’s continued engagement on issues involving the situation in Venezuela.
