OSAKA – On June 27, 2019, U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin met with U.K. Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond. The Secretary and Chancellor once again reaffirmed the important longstanding relationship between the United States and United Kingdom. Secretary Mnuchin and Chancellor Hammond discussed the need for a consensus-based approach to international tax. Secretary Mnuchin and Chancellor Hammond also held a conversation regarding the ongoing Brexit process, and discussed ongoing security issues of mutual concern.
