WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Treasury today released the following statement from Secretary Tim Geithner on the Committee of European Banking Supervisors' (CEBS) release of stress tests results:
We welcome the release of bank-level stress test results in Europe. With this undertaking, the EU has made a significant effort to increase disclosure on the conditions of individual European financial institutions and enhance market stability.
