On October 6, Secretary Geithner delivered remarks at the Brookings Institution. He outlined U.S. objectives for this week's Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank as well as the upcoming meeting of G-20 Finance Ministers in Korea. He discussed the global economy's unprecedented cooperative efforts to restart economic growth and stabilize financial markets and address how to strengthen the pace of growth and repair in a way that provides for a more balanced and sustainable global economic recovery.
