(Archived Content)     TREASURY TO HOST GLOBAL WOMEN IN FINANCE SYMPOSIUM Updated event agenda provided below   WASHINGTON – TOMORROW at 8:00 AM, May 1, the U.S. Department of the Treasury will convene a Global Women in Finance Symposium focusing on opportunities for investment and innovation in the economic recovery.  The Symposium will be the Obama Administration’s fourth Women in Finance Symposium since 2010.  The event will bring together women who are senior Administration officials, private sector leaders, and international development organizations representatives for a series of keynotes and panel discussions.  Thursday’s symposium will include conversations on how financial institutions weathered the storm of the financial crisis, the creative methods utilized to recover and encourage future growth, and efforts to foster job creation through global business investment, workforce training, and technology.
