Secretary Bessent announced FSOC’s plans for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Series at the December 11, 2025, meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC or Council).
The AI Innovation Series will convene financial institutions, technology firms, regulators, and specialized experts to explore the highest-value AI use cases and identify practical approaches to scaling innovation while preserving safety and soundness. The roundtables are focused on financial institutions’ approaches to AI strategy and governance, AI usage for value generation, considerations for cybersecurity and risk management, and AI’s implications for financial stability.
The series is a collaboration between FSOC and Treasury’s AI Transformation Office.
