Financial Institution, Venture Capital Investor, and Technical Assistance Provider

SSBCI is designed to help lenders and investors of private capital make loans and investments in small businesses – increasing access to capital for small companies that, but for SSBCI support, may not be able to secure the capital they need to create innovative, vibrant businesses.

These programs, funded by the SSBCI Capital Program, help lenders and investors to close eligible deals by providing credit enhancement or additional investment. In parallel, the SSBCI Technical Assistance programs will support companies in accessing and maximizing the impact of the SSBCI-supported loans or investment companies.

Each jurisdiction created their own mix of SSBCI programs, with the option to include either or both lending and venture capital investment programs. Lenders and investors should review jurisdictions’ programs and reach out to learn more about opportunities to participate.

In addition, jurisdictions designed Technical Assistance Programs to help companies apply for or best utilize loans and investments.

Below, find links to resources available to lenders, investors, and technical assistance providers to help them learn more about jurisdiction programs and reach out to program managers. In addition, see the Provider map to learn which other financial institutions or investors/allocators participate in the SSBCI program.
