Privacy Reports

  In accordance with Section 522 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2005, the Department of the Treasury prepares a report to Congress on an annual basis covering the Department's activities which affect privacy.  These activities include complaints of privacy violations, implementation of section 552a of title 5, 11 United States Code, internal controls, as well as other relevant matters.

Computer Matching and Privacy Protection Act Reports

Pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended, and guidance issued by the Office of Management and Budget, the Data Integrity Board of each agency that has participated in a matching program will collect data summarizing that year's matching activity.

Section 803 Reports

In accordance with Section 803 of the Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007, the Chief Privacy and Civil Liberties Officer will submit a report covering all privacy protection activities of the Department.  The Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2014 changed the reporting period from quarterly to semiannually. The semiannual reports cover the following time periods: April – September and October – March.

EO 13636 Privacy and Civil Liberties Assessment Reports

Executive Order 13636, Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity, requires that senior agency officials for privacy and civil liberties assess the privacy and civil liberties impacts of the activities their respective departments and agencies have undertaken to implement the Executive Order, and to publish their assessments annually in a report compiled by the DHS Privacy Office and Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties.
