Secretary Lew appeared on NBC's Meet The Press yesterday to discuss the bi-partisan deal passed last week to re-open the government and extend the nation's borrowing authority. The Secretary hoped the resolution will lead to a stable government that supports the economic recovery Americans have been working so hard to achieve. Watch the full interview below:

In an op-ed printed in today's International New York Times, Secretary Lew noted that throughout our nation's history, "we have established ourselves as the backbone of the global financial system", making it all the more important to put an end to governing by crisis and focus on accelerating economic growth and job creation.
