BALI – Last week, U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin met with Argentine Treasury Secretary Nicolas Dujovne. Secretary Mnuchin and Secretary Dujovne reaffirmed the importance of continued economic ties between the United States and Argentina, as well as the importance of strong and broad-based economic growth, trade, and security. The Secretary and President discussed the current status of the Argentinian economy and currency, as well as Argentina’s IMF-supported reform program. They also discussed the importance of intensifying pressure on the Maduro regime in Venezuela and addressing the continuing humanitarian crisis for which it is responsible.
