SUBJECT: Delegation of Authority to the Assistant Secretary for Management to Accept Gifts and Bequests to the Department of the Treasury
- DELEGATION. By virtue of the authority vested in the Secretary of the Treasury by 31 USC 321(b)(2), I hereby delegate to the Assistant Secretary for Management all authority granted to the Secretary under 31 USC 321(d)(1) to accept, hold, administer and use gifts and bequests of property, both real and personal, for the purpose of aiding or facilitating the work of the Department of the Treasury. Gifts and bequests of money and proceeds from sales of other property received as gifts and bequests shall be deposited in the Treasury in a separate fund and shall be disbursed on order of the Assistant Secretary for Management. Property accepted under this paragraph, and the proceeds thereof, shall be used as nearly as possible in accordance with the terms of the gift or bequest.
- REDELEGATION. The Assistant Secretary for Management may redelegate or assign any authority delegated by this Order.
- CANCELLATION. Treasury Order 102-16, "Delegation of Authority to the Assistant Secretary (Management) to Accept Gifts and Bequests to the Department of the Treasury," dated September 28, 1994 and reaffirmed March 24, 2000, is superseded.
