Secretary Lew to Travel to Atlanta, Georgia

WASHINGTON - Secretary Jacob J. Lew will travel to Atlanta, GA on Thursday, January 14, 2016 as part of the “State of the Union: Cabinet in Your Community” road tour to highlight the growing economy and important steps we can take to cement our recovery as well as Treasury’s financial inclusion initiatives, including myRA.  Secretary Lew will tour the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) alongside Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.  After the tour, Secretary Lew and Mayor Reed will host a roundtable with local entrepreneurs and provide brief remarks.

While in Atlanta, the Secretary will also meet with business leaders to discuss the state of the economy, and deliver a keynote address at the HOPE Global Forums Annual Meeting.  Secretary Lew's remarks will tie back to the event's theme of "reimaging the global economy," with a message focused on greater financial inclusion both here and across the globe.
