Jerusalem – U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli National Security Advisor Meir Ben-Shabbat. Secretary Mnuchin, Prime Minister Netanyahu and National Security Advisor Ben-Shabbat discussed the long-standing ties and cooperation between the United States and the State of Israel. The Secretary underscored the close partnership between the Department of the Treasury and the State of Israel in countering the financing of terrorism and other illicit activity. Secretary Mnuchin, Prime Minister Netanyahu and National Security Advisor Ben-Shabbat reaffirmed the bilateral commitment of the U.S. and Israel to cooperate on threats posed by Iran and Hizballah, and on anti-terrorism initiatives.
