TFFC co-manages the Treasury Financial Attaché program with the Office of International Affairs. Treasury Financial Attachés play a central role in advancing Treasury’s global economic and national security missions by serving as the Department’s representative in one or more countries. Treasury’s Financial Attachés are at the forefront of informing, developing, and implementing Treasury’s national security priorities in the countries where they are posted, among other things providing lead information on illicit finance activity generated by TFI to host-country authorities to investigate, designate, or otherwise disrupt this activity.
