Acting Under Secretary Szubin Visits Turkey and France: February 1 – 4

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Treasury today announced that acting Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Adam J. Szubin will visit Turkey and France from February 1 through 4.

During his trip, acting Under Secretary Szubin will meet with senior government officials and individuals from public policy research organizations and the private sector.  Discussions will focus on combating ISIL financing, as well as broader illicit finance and security issues of mutual concern.  Acting Under Secretary Szubin will also discuss the recent sanctions relief provided to Iran on Implementation Day under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as well as our authorities that remain in place to address Iran’s activities outside of the nuclear deal, including its support for terrorism.
