Trip to Advance Ongoing U.S.-China Discussions and Prepare for the Upcoming Strategic and Economic Dialogue
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Treasury today announced that Secretary Jacob J. Lew will travel to Beijing, China next week to hold discussions with senior Chinese officials on the U.S., Chinese, and global economies. Secretary Lew will also discuss progress on China’s reform agenda, issues in the U.S.-China bilateral economic relationship, and preparations for the upcoming U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue.
Secretary Lew will depart Washington for Beijing on Saturday, March 28, 2015. He will hold meetings with senior officials on Monday, March 30. Secretary Lew will depart from Beijing and arrive in San Francisco, California on the morning of Tuesday, March 31. While in San Francisco, Secretary Lew will deliver remarks before Asia Society Northern California and will meet with local business leaders.
