WASHINGTON – On Monday, April 11, 2016, U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew will deliver remarks on American leadership in the global economy at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Secretary Lew will outline how U.S. leadership of the global economic system has produced remarkable economic successes over the past 70-plus years, and why sustaining that economic leadership and adapting it to the challenges of our time are critical to future U.S. and global stability and prosperity.  Secretary Lew’s remarks will follow a long-form article he has authored on the same topic, to be published online Monday in Foreign Affairs.
