Secretary Lew to Travel to Los Angeles, California

WASHINGTON - On Tuesday, May 3, 2016, Secretary Jacob J. Lew will be in Los Angeles, CA to mark National Small Business Week, highlight Treasury’s financial inclusion efforts, and discuss the urgent situation in Puerto Rico.
While in Los Angeles, Secretary Lew will tour a project financed in part by New Markets Tax Credits and the State Small Business Credit Initiative. In addition, the Secretary will deliver remarks at a Access to Capital and Borrower’s Rights Conference hosted by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, and participate in a moderated conversation at the Milken Institute Global Conference.  These events are open press. 
Secretary Lew will also meet with community and business leaders to discuss Puerto Rico’s debt crisis and the need for Congressional action to provide the Commonwealth with access to an orderly restructuring regime, paired with independent oversight that respects Puerto Rico's self-governance.
