WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced today that Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence David S. Cohen is traveling to Germany, France, Israel, and the United Kingdom this week to continue Treasury’s global engagement on issues related to illicit finance and sanctions.  Cohen will visit Germany, France, and the United Kingdom to continue coordination with our European partners on the implementation of sanctions that have been imposed in response to Russia’s illegal action in Ukraine.  He will also engage in stepped up planning on the range of tools at our disposal, including expanded sanctions against entities in various sectors of the Russian economy, should Russia continue its illegal and destabilizing behavior.  Cohen will also visit Israel for regular consultations on issues of shared interest.
