Beijing Visit to Highlight Importance of U.S.-China Economic Relationship
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Treasury today announced that Secretary Jacob J. Lew will travel to Beijing, China next week to hold discussions with senior Chinese government officials on the U.S., Chinese and global economic outlook. Secretary Lew will also discuss progress on China’s reform agenda, efforts to level the playing field for U.S. workers and firms, and preparations for the upcoming U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue.
Secretary Lew will depart Washington for Beijing on Sunday, May 11, 2014. He will hold meetings with senior government officials on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, and will return to Washington that evening.
