WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, June 17, 2015, the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability for Young Americans (Council) will host its next meeting via conference call to vote on their final recommendations. The Council’s mission is to advise the President and the Secretary of the Treasury on how to promote financial capability among young Americans and encourage building the financial capability of young people at an early stage in schools, families, communities, and the workplace. The Council intends to publish its final recommendations in the coming weeks.
Members of the Council include the Secretary of the Treasury, the Secretary of Education, the Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and 22 non-governmental members appointed by the President.
