Cohen to Continue Treasury’s Global Consultation on Efforts to Combat Illicit Finance
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced today that Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence David S. Cohen is traveling to the United Kingdom today to continue Treasury’s global engagement on issues related to illicit finance including the implementation of international economic sanctions against North Korea, Iran, and Syria.
Under Secretary Cohen will meet with senior government officials in London. These discussions will continue the ongoing cooperation and consultation between the U.S. and the U.K. on combatting terrorist financing, as well as the importance of continued coordination on the implementation of economic sanctions against the North Korean, Iranian, and Syrian regimes.
