Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) to Meet July 18

WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, July 18, 2012, Secretary Tim Geithner will preside over an open session of the Financial Stability Oversight Council.  The Council will vote on a report to Congress regarding a study of contingent capital required by the Dodd-Frank Act, and will also vote on the Council’s annual report, which will describe the activities of the Council, outline significant financial market and regulatory developments, analyze potential emerging threats, report on certain determinations of the Council, and make relevant recommendations.

Media attending with camera equipment should arrive at the Moat Entrance (south side of the Treasury building, adjacent to the Hamilton entrance) at 12:00 PM to allow time for equipment sweeps and set-up. No vehicles will be permitted onto Treasury grounds; equipment must be carried in. All other media should arrive by 1:45 PM and should enter the Treasury building through the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance.
