WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Treasury today announced that Secretary Jacob J. Lew will travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota on Monday, August 8, 2016 to meet with community and business leaders to discuss the state of the U.S. economy and highlight initiatives aimed at supporting financial inclusion.
While in Minneapolis, Secretary Lew will meet with local business and community leaders to discuss Treasury’s financial inclusion initiatives and other measures to grow the economy. These meetings are closed press.
Following these meetings, Secretary Lew and Mayor Betsy Hodges will tour the Downtown East Development project and hold a media availability. Secretary Lew will also visit a local project financed in part by New Markets Tax Credits from the Treasury Department.
