WASHINGTON – Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner will hold a media availability on Thursday, December 1 at 4:10 PM EDT to discuss the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) efforts to help protect consumers from predatory lending practices and ensure they have the clear, straightforward information they need to make the financial choices that are best for them. The media availability will take place at the CFPB’s headquarters at 1700 G Street, NW in Washington D.C.
The media availability will follow a closed press meeting at the CFPB headquarters that Secretary Geithner and Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Neal Wolin will hold with Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury for the CFPB Raj Date and members of the CFPB’s leadership team.
