Thursday: Treasury Secretary Geithner To Travel To Detroit

Visit will Include Moderated Discussion before the Detroit Economic Club,
Meeting with Local Business Leaders, Tour of Chrysler Plant
WASHINGTON On Thursday, April 28, U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner will travel to Detroit, Michigan, where he will participate in a moderated discussion hosted by the Detroit Economic Club on the path forward for the nation’s fiscal policy, strengthening U.S. competitiveness and job creation, and the state of the economy. While in Detroit, Secretary Geithner will also meet with local business leaders and visit Chrysler Group’s Jefferson North AssemblyPlant, where he will tour the facility and discuss recent developments in the auto industry with management, union leadership and workers.

There will also be a b-roll opportunity of the Secretary’s tour of Chrysler Group’s Jefferson North AssemblyPlant for TV cameras and still photographers.
Cameramen and photographers are asked to RSVP by 3 p.m. Wednesday to Jodi Tinson at jodi.tinson@chrysler.com if they plan to attend. Media parking for the event will be confirmed no later than Wednesday, April 27. Cameras should arrive at the plant no later than 1 p.m. Tour participants should wear long pants and closed toe shoes.
