A group of 36 Tribal governments that applied jointly through the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians Economic Development Corporation (ATNI-EDC), approved for up to $32,670,205, operates three programs: a loan guarantee program (LGP) and two loan participation programs (LPPs). The LGP provides credit guarantees to support bids by Tribal or member-owned small businesses on construction projects funded by the Tribe or the federal government. The Tribal Bridge Financing Projects (TBFP) program, an LPP allocated $17,968,307, provides companion loans as pre-development capital for Tribal enterprises. The TBFP program gives special consideration for projects impacted by climate change. The Loan Participation for Tribal Entrepreneurs (LPTE) program, an LPP allocated $11,433,871, provides companion loans to Tribal entrepreneurs.
